By the order No.108-B as of March 26th, 1996 the department No.5 of IPPT of NAS of Ukraine (department developing electrohydropulse technologies and equipment, including the wide spread technologies and equipment for a core knockout from casts) is reorganized into Science and Technology Center "VEGA" at IPPT of NAS of Ukraine.

Basic activities:

Scientific researches, making and implementation of technologies and equipment based on use of a high-voltage discharge in a liquid (core knockouts from casts, stabilization of geometrical sizes of casts and welded structures, decrease in labor input of prerepair dismantling of the products maintained under difficult conditions, cleaning of products against undesirable coverings and residues, crushing of concrete and ferro-concrete foundations, etc.).

Development and implementation in production of technological processes and equipment for products and sheets cleaning before painting and for finishing operations in foundry (shot blasting equipment, stripping equipment, etc.)
