Equipment and technology for a core knockout from casts

Multiple-purpose electrohydropulse plants (EHP) are intended for a core knockout (cast cleaning) of any durability and moulding sand wastes removal from casts of any complexity having weight from 0.1 to 30.000 kg in the conditions of individual, serial and large-scale production.

Material of treatable parts: steel, pig-iron, aluminum, titan and nonferrous alloys.

Type of crushed and refined materials: core and moulding sands (sandy-argillaceous, liquid self-hardening sand, water-glass, self-hardening water-glass, cold-hardening, self-emptying sands, corundum-shaped moulds, etc.).

Multipurpose plants are operated on the following principle.

The core knockout from casts (cast cleaning of moulding sand) is carried out as follows: the casts to be cleaned are loaded by workshop load-lifting appliances into a container and arranged inside according to technological maps. Their position is displayed on the screen of a watch mechanism, then the container with casts sinks in the technological bath filled with water having on-rolled casing with a working electrode travel mechanism. The working electrode is supplied to casts and fixed in the set point of treatment, the high-voltage electric equipment switches on, thus starting the treatment. The processes of electric power accumulation, maintenance of a working interval "electrode - cast" and slag removal outwards the technological bath are automatic. Upon termination of treatment the casing with a working electrode is taken away otwards a treatment zone, the container is hoisted to the top position. The treated casts are unloaded and untreated casts replace them. The cycle repeats. The plants operate in manual and semi-automatic modes and they are controlled by a remote control panel.

To date the Science and Technology Center "VEGA" is engaged into making of the third generation multiple-purpose sizeably smaller EHPs that are more perfect and reliable, less material- and power-intensive, not requiring precipitator tanks.

You can tentatively calculate time and cost of EH treatment of your cast here.


Therefore, instead of the widely used EHP of model 36121А the EHP of models В36151 and В36152 are developed, thus the EHP of model В36152 can be mounted on the foundation of EHP of model 36121А after its finishing. As an alternative to EHP of models 36131А, 36141А, 36213, 36214, 36215 the models В36153, В36154 and В36155 are offered.
